The Dream Factory is the largest children’s wish-granting organization that does not limit its mission to children who have life-threatening illness. The organization believes children with chronic illnesses and disorders also suffer from substantial emotional and physical pain.
1st Annual Skate for Dreams a huge success for the Dream Factory.
This summer, Maine native Brian Dumolin of the Pittsburgh Penguins hosted the first "Skate for Dreams" event at the UNE ice arena. Over 150 young skaters attended the event and the Dream Factory raised over $15,000 to help dreams come true for seriously and chronically ill children from Maine.
Brian was so gracious with the kids and made sure that everyone had a great time and learned how to become a better hockey player!
Special thanks to Brian and his family, as well as all of the volunteers that made this event possible, and a very special thank you to event sponsor, Tyler Technologies!
Maine Marathon participants donate $1,244.00 to The Dream Factory!
The 2018 Maine Marathon was held Sunday, September 30th, and the Dream Factory manned a water station for our 4th year in a row and was staffed by Gorham HS and Falmouth HS Dream Factory Club members.
During registration, runners can donate to the many charities that the event has supported over the years. This year 63 runners selected the Dream Factory and donated $1,244.00 to our cause. This brings the Maine Marathon total contributions to over $60,000 over the last four years. Thank you to all the club members that showed up early Sunday morning to pass out water to the runners.
